About the Pastor 

Pastor Timothy Henning

Welcome to Trinity! Meet our Pastor!
Rev. Timothy Henning serves as our Pastor!  He has served Trinity Lutheran Church since October 8, 2017; following a year of serving the congregation as Vacancy Pastor!  He had previously served Trinity in 2009, also as Vacancy Pastor.  Pastor Henning is also active in MAMA, the Mena Area Ministerial Alliance!

Pastor Henning and his wife Janet live in Russellville, Arkansas. They have three adult children, and enjoy their four-legged family members; three cats, Sox, Oliver, and Raven; and Bentley, their dog! 

Pastor Henning previously served parishes in Kentucky and Kansas.  He has also served congregations in Arkansas, as Vacancy Pastor; Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Searcy; Trinity Lutheran Church, Mountainburg; and Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church in Maumelle.

Pastor Henning works full time with Tyson Foods in Dardanelle, Arkansas.  Pastor Henning and his family continue to live in Russellville and he continues to work at Tyson full-time.  He  serves Trinity on Sundays and at various other times that require his presence in Mena.

   Pastor Henning graduated from Concordia College, Seward, Nebraska and from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, being ordained on June 13, 1999.  He is a Life Member of the VFW, serving in the Persian Gulf War in 1991.  He served for eight years in the Army (active duty and reserves) as a Chaplain’s Assistant.  In his free time, he likes fishing, camping and traveling with his family, gardening, reading and coin collecting.
